The answers to questions we get asked most frequently.
We recommend an annual calibration to ensure that your test weights are performing as expected and they conform to manufacturers standards. More frequent calibration may be desired depending on the weight use and the class of weight.
The accuracy of balances and scales becomes less reliable over time. They should be checked at regular intervals with calibrated weights to ensure constant reliability and reduce the risk of measurement error. The test weights used as part of the calibration process should also be calibrated to avoid measurement uncertainty.
If your electrical tester or instrument cannot be calibrated or is uneconomical to repair, we will contact you straight away and offer a branded like-for-like replacement. We will supply the replacement calibrated to your original order requirements.
Did you know that small dust particles can affect calibration results on highly sensitive balances? This can be avoided by storing test weights in a protective case when they’re not in use.
We can calibrate much more than the items we’ve listed above, including pressure, temperature, torque, weight and mass equipment, so please drop us a message with your requirements and we’ll provide you with a quick, no-obligation quote.
